Bio

Nicole Schneider received her BFA in Printmaking from Kent State University in 2007 and went on to receive a Masters of Fine Art in Printmaking from Kent State University in 2012.

While in graduate school, she was awarded an assistantship with the School of Art Galleries and worked as the Assistant to the Director of the School of Art Galleries for two years.

From 2008-2015 she worked in various capacities for Zygote Press, Inc., a non-profit printmaking studio in Cleveland, Ohio, including serving as Gallery Director, instructing classes, and printing editions.

She also served on the installation crews at MOCA Cleveland, the Akron Art Museum, and the Transformer Station. 

In 2013, she founded Black Balloon Editions, a fine art press, and began printing with artists to produce editions of their work.

She began working at American Greetings in 2014 as a Creative Specialist, a position she continues to hold while making work out of her home studio in Lakewood, Ohio.

Nicole’s work can be found in many public and private collections, including Zygote Press, the Westin Cleveland Downtown, and the Cleveland Clinic.  She was also commissioned to make the 2015 Governor’s Awards for the Ohio Arts Council.
